When it comes to pets, I actually don't have any. (ใ .ใ ) My household doesn't allow pets, so we've rarely had any. (。•́︿•̀。) But I don't mind not having pets though, even though I know pets can make us less lonely.
I don't think I can manage to adopt a pet. I've adopted an animal before, but smaller animals than cats or other animals. STORY TIME! ( ≧แ≦)
There was one day, I saw a bird at my house's gate. It was not stuck, but it fell from the sky. :0 I asked my mom for help to pick up the bird. After we treated the bird's wound, we decided to adopt it.
That was when we started to buy so many things; a bird cage, bird food, and others. We also built the bird a playground for itself. I always checked on the bird every night before I went to bed. It was so cute. I remember that I was so afraid to let it sleep in the dark, so I just let the kitchen light on.
After a few days, I was getting ready to go to school, when my mom said that the bird was dead. I was shocked, what did I lack? Did she not get enough food? Light sources? Playground? I wasn't devastated, but it was still painful to let go of an animal you loved. Especially when it's still young :(
That experience taught me a valuable lesson about responsibility. Now I prefer to watch animals from afar, or maybe by watching National Geographic (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜
